Founder of The Christian Mompreneur

‘For I know the plans I have for you’, declares the LORD, ‘plans to proser and not to harm you.
Plans to give you hope and a future’ Jer 29:11

One thing I have learned is that life has a lot of twists and turns as God takes us on a unique journey towards becoming more like Him and fulfilling His purpose for our lives.

My journey has not been easy but I can see God’s hand at work through it all…

I'm from the UK but, as a result of developing my interests as part of home educating from the age of 13, I studied Film & Video Production at University in SC, USA, graduating in 2005.

2005

Started working as a missionary videographer.

2008

Moved back to Cornwall, England but still continuing with the mission agency.

2010

Travelled all over Europe for a video project with the mission agency.

2012

Resigned as a missionary videographer due to lack of financial support. Decided to focus on freelance work.

Got married. Afterwards, my health also began to decline rapidly and for the next 3yrs, I could barely stand upright & struggled with debilitating fatigue.

2015

After many tests, it was confirmed that I had POTS and, in 2017, I found out I had HSD/EDS, which was likely the underlying cause of my POTS symptoms.

2017

After starting a supplement protocol for EDS in early 2016, I was finally well enough to live a mostly normal life again.

I started my online course and coaching business to help course creators with video.

I gave birth to my son, Isaac Cai (meaning laughter and joy)

2021

Separated from my husband after many years of abuse & things getting worse despite doing all I could to make the marriage work.

2022

Tried to keep my business going but ended up taking time off work due to stress. I had a lot of trauma to deal with that year.

During my time off, I decided to discontinue the video coaching business and pursue something else instead. I’d lost my passion for video and I really wanted to help other mums be able to stay home with their kids even if they didn’t have a husband to support them.

2023

Based on the knowledge I’d gained through building my course and coaching business, I spent time testing out ideas of what might work best for someone who has no business background but wants/needs to start a home-based business.

2yrs after my separation, the divorce was finalised and I was ready to embrace a new season of life.

2024

I spent a few months redecorating and re-furnishing my home (a challenging but wonderfully liberating pursuit after all I had endured)!

I then started building out the resources needed to provide everything necessary to build a profitable business for moms who want to stay home with their kids.

2025

Launched my new pursuit to help Christian women achieve financial stability and freedom — whether staying home with their kids, supporting their families, or pursuing a God-given dream. I do this by helping them start their own business with little financial or time investment.

Why Mompreneur?

As you may have noticed, I’m from the UK — so why am I using the American spelling "mom" instead of "mum" here, even though I use British spelling elsewhere?  The simple answer is SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and search volume. Using "mom" helps more people — especially in the U.S. — find my content and benefit from it.

And while much of what I share is focused on supporting Christian moms, my mission is to encourage and equip all Christian women who feel called to build an income from home. So whether you’re a mom or not, you’re very welcome here… even if I do spell it mom!
